Conclusion We identified parameters for predicting of the P-lactam reactivity:(i) the P-lactam vcd value is a good index for 3-substituted cephalosporins,(ii) I3C NMR chemical shifts S (C- 3) and S (CO0) are rough indices for 3-substituted cephalosporins when cephalosporins are classified into the two groups of those with an OR substituent and those with a H, C1, or CH2R substituent,(iii) the AS (4-3) value is a good index for the 3-methylene-substituted ...
