摘要

Abstract Claisen condensations of 1, 3-diacetyl-2-hydroxy-5-methylbenzene with esters gave two new outstanding tetraketone ligands. The optimized procedure was developed into a multi-grams scale preparation of 1, 3-bis-(3-oxo-3-phenyl-propionyl)-2-hydroxy-5- methylbenzene.
