摘要

(XIV) was prepared as described by Langlois' O and reduced catalytically as the sodium salt with Raney nickel. In addition to homocamphenilanic, mp 76-77'(XV), there was isolated homoisocamphenilanic, mp 56-57'(VI). Since Langloislo failed to mention his exact yields it is probable that he had both isomers but isolated only one.
