摘要

The impetus for the work herein reported arose from the observation that 2-benzoyl-1- naphthoic acid2 formed the pseudo methyl ester on esterification by the Fischer-Speier method whereas 2-benzoylbenzoic acid had been shown to form entirely the normal ester under similar conditions.
