摘要

The copper-catalyzed addition of sulfonyl chlorides to acetylenes makes possible the one- step syntheses of p-chlorovinyl sulfones in high yields. The stereoselective 1: 1 addition apparently takes place by a free-radical chain reaction in which the copper catalyst functions as a chlorine atom transfer agent.
