2 (MesSiO) zSiMeH+ MeaSiOSiMezH+(MesSiO) aSiH and tristrimethylsiloxysilane. No example has been observed previously of such a reaction under the mild conditions of these experiments. A study of the addition of bis (trimethylsi1oxy) methylsilane [I,(Me3SiO) 2SiMeH], to hexene-2 in the presence of chloroplatinic acid revealed a most unexpected side reaction.
