摘要

X-ray crystallography of 2a was undertaken in order to positively determine the structure of 4- amino-1-formyl-5-hydroxy-lH-imidazol-2 (5H)-one (28). Figure 1 shows the ORTEP view of 28. 4-Amino-lH-imidazol-2 (5H)-one 2a existed as the amino form in the solid state. The imidazolone ring was planar.
