Abstract The selectivity of the Br/Li exchange reaction of 6-butyl-2-(2, 5-dibromophenyl)-1, 3, 6, 2-dioxazaborocane (2, 5-Br 2 C 6 H 3 B (OCH 2 CH 2) 2 NBu) and the analogous anionic derivatives, 2, 5-Br 2 C 6 H 3 B (OiPr) 3 Li and 2, 5-Br 2 C 6 H 3 BF 3 K, was investigated using nBuLi as the lithiating reagent.
