Cyclohexyl Derivatives.-Cyclohexyl bromide treated with HgF, in a solvent reacts at once, at room tempera- ture. The reaction mass becomes purple, an indication that cyclohexylene is formed. Since it is impractical to separate the cyclohexyl fluoride from the reaction mass, settling is allowed to take place and the mercuric salts are filtered off.
