Abstract Carbonickelations of alkynes and functionalization of the resulting vinylnickel moiety have been performed efficiently in a nickel-catalyzed domino cyclization– condensation process. This reaction, which does not require the preparation of any other organometallic reagent, proceeds only by exo-dig cyclization.
