Pallazo and co-workers have reported on the nucleophilic displacement of halogen in 5- halomethyl-l, 2, 4-oxadiazolvs by various amines (4). Their study included phcnyl, substituted phenyl, benzyl, pyridyl, naphthyband 1-tetrahydronaphthyl derivatives. These compounds were of interest as antiinflammatory and as antitussive agents.
