The compound following 2 in the alumina chromatographic separation proved to be l-[l-(l, l'- biphenyl-4-y1)-cyclohexyl] piperidine (6), recovered in average yields of 1%, whose'H NMR spectrum was similar to that of 2 except for the complex multiplets at 6 7.60 and 7.45 (4 H and 5 H, respectively) ascribed to the biphenyl moiety.
