Abstract The room temperature hydrosilylation of linear 1, 3-dienes and 1, 3-or 1, 4- cyclohexadienes using octacarbonyldicobalt (0) is described. Both cyclic dimers yield regiospecifically 2-cyclohexenylsilanes.
