Summary A quantitative study of the action of methylmagnesium iodide on butyl ether solutions of 2-substituted pyrrolines prepared from y-chlorobutyronitrile and Grignard reagents has shown that these compounds consume one mole of the reagent without the formation of methane, suggesting a Al structure.
