The ability to use aliphatic alcohols as competent nucleophiles in the palladium-catalyzed dynamic kinetic asymmetric transformation of Baylis-Hillman adducts is explored. High yield and enantioselectivity is obtained for both the kinetic transformation and dynamic kinetic transformation.
