Several heteroannulated pyridinones were prepared from the methyl esters of N-Boc-β, β- diheteroaryldehydroalanines by treatment with acetic acid. The latter were obtained by a bis- Suzuki coupling of a β, β-dibromodehydroalanine with heteroarylboronate compounds.
