摘要

Abstract 2-Fluoro-, 2-chloro-, 2-bromo-, 2-methyl-, and 2-methoxythioxanthene have been prepared by borane reduction of the corresponding thioxanthone. The corresponding sulfoxides were prepared by m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid oxidation of these sulfides.
