Results As suspected earlier! dimethylsilacyclohexe is one of the most reactive silanes toward triphenylcarbenium ion, but the nature of the counterion is also crucial, as bromide and chloride (eq 1, An= Br, Cl), which are certainly nucleophilic toward silicon, failed to react with this substrate.
