A series of N-alkylated derivatives of nitroimidazolyl oxazolidinones 6a–i with various substituent at N-1 position of the nitroimidazole were synthesized and their in-vitro antibacterial activities were evaluated against several Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
