Ethoxy-l-alken-2-yl) boranes (6) were prepared by hydr0boration of 1-ethoxy-1-alkynes (4) with 1, 3, 2-benzodioxaborole (5). The hydroboration of 4 gave monohydroboration products regiospecifically; these were isolated as a single isomer in each case [for instance, 1I-I-NMR of 6b: 5= 7.06 ppm (s, vinylic H)].
