Acid. A mixture of 30.2 g (0.11 mol) of 9, 52.8 g (0.8 mol) of 85% KOH, 135 mL of HzO, and 55 mL of ethanol was heated at reflux for 18.5 h and worked up in the usual way. The acid (22.4 g, 78%) was recrystallized from CH3CN; mp 48-50" C. Anal. Calcd for C1&Ia02: C,
