摘要

Abstract Treatment of 1-alkylazetidine-2-carboxylic acids with several organolithium reagents leads to the corresponding 1-alkyl-2-carboazetidines in near quantitative yield. Additional evidence is presented for conformational isomerism in the title compounds on the basis of infrared carbonyl stretching frequencies.
