Mito-apocynin (C2)

Mito-apocynin (C2), an orally active mitochondria-targeted triphenylphosphonium (TPP)-based compound, is synthesized by conjugating the Apocynin moiety with a TPP + cation. Mito-apocynin (C2) exhibits antineuroinflammatory effect[1].

Animal Model: MPTP mice model of Parkinson’s Disease[1] Dosage: 3 mg/kg Administration: Oral gavage; daily for 12 days Result: Significantly attenuated MPTP-induced glial cell activation, proinflammatory cytokine upregulation, inducible nitric oxide synthase, and NOX2 components (gp91phox).
