1.将10g一硫化锗粉碎,放入250mL锥形烧瓶中,同时加入过量200%(约80mL)的浓氢碘酸(57%,相对密度1.7)。烧瓶口用玻璃棉堵塞,在水蒸气浴上加热至100℃,并不断摇动,使其反应。约20min后,在古氏过滤器中装入玻璃棉,趁热过滤,自然冷却滤液,即生成有光泽的黄棕色二碘化锗片状结晶。结晶完全析出以后(约30min),用玻璃过滤器过滤,收集结晶,含有硫化锗的滤液重新倒入原来的锥形瓶中。将此操作过程反复3~4次,大部分硫化物就可变为碘化物。因为其中含有少量四碘化锗,将结晶夹在滤纸间挤压以除去水分,在真空中加热至100℃,使四碘化锗升华除去。所得到的二碘化锗放在密封管中保存。

2.把20g四碘化锗装入250mL三口烧瓶中,在三个口上分别安装回流冷凝器、搅拌器、玻璃塞。投入10mL浓氢碘酸(57%)及20mL水,搅拌。再加入7.6mL 50%次磷酸,将烧瓶加塞。将该混合物在回流下煮沸。在短时间内,红色四碘化锗结晶就转变为二碘化锗的黄色片状结晶,用稀氢碘酸洗涤二碘化锗结晶,将结晶放到阿布德哈登[Abderhalden]干燥器中的五氧化二磷上面,抽真空,在甲苯沸点110℃进行干燥。
