琥珀酰辅酶A(琥珀酰辅酶A)钠是柠檬酸循环的中间体。琥珀酰辅酶A钠可以转化为琥珀酸,也可以与甘氨酸结合形成δ-ALA,合成卟啉(血红素)。琥珀酰辅酶A钠可用于研究营养维生素B12缺乏(导致琥珀酰基辅酶A合成不足)引起的代谢、神经和血液学异常(如卟啉病)[1][2]。
