Use of AmthamineAmthamine is a selective histamine H2 receptor agonist which does not stimulate activity of H1 and H3 receptors. Similar to histamine, Amthamine inhibits receptor -mediated eosinophil peroxidase. Amthamine has been shown to suppress the release of serotonin and has been used to study the involvement of H1 and H2 receptors on ion secretion. |
