| In Vitro | Verbascose (25, 50, 100, 200, 400 μg/mL; 12, 24, 36, 48 hours) significantly increases the viability of RAW264.7 cells[1]. Verbascose has notable activity of promoting peritoneal macrophages to devour neutral red in a dose-dependent manner and exhibits its maximum activity of cell phagocytosis at a concentration of 200 μg/mL[1]. Verbascose induces significant increases of NO production.
