The Hebei Xinji Chemical Group Co Ltd is one of China’s main inorganic salt production and export bases. It is a large national enterprise that was founded in 1947, a prominent Hebei company, and one of the Top 50 enterprises of the city of Shijiazhuang. It is a specialized company involved in inorganic salts and ammonia synthesis, and affiliated with the China National Chemical Corp, covering a 1-million-square-meter area, with more than 3,300 employees. It and has total asset of more than 1 billion yuan.

Xinji Chemical was China’s first company use barite (dating back to the 1950s) and is the main unit to draw up national and industrial standards for barium carbonate, barium sulfate, and strontium carbonate. It has 15 types of chemical products of more than 50 specifications and a total output of at least 500,000 tons. Its “Wuzhou” brand inorganic salts has gained the “Hebei Famous Trademark” designation many times, and “Famous Chinese Trademark” recognition, in 2006, along with more than 100 honorary titles above the provincial level. Its annual ammonia synthesis capacity is 60,000 tons, and a sign of its product diversification. Its nitrogenous fertilizer comes in at least 10 kinds, and has an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons. It also has a professional management team and mature management practices, and is turning into a new industry leader.
The company established its Guizhou Tianzhu barium carbonate base and Shanxi Pingli barium sulfate base between 2003 and 2006 as part of a strategic move from barium carbonate and barium sulfate as raw materials to a barite base. It began a Xinji Chemical relocation and technological change project in March 28, 2012, to take advantage of Hebai’s coal resources and develop C1 chemicals using coal gas, complemented by synthetic gas resources, for cooperation with the petrochemical industry to lengthen the industrial chain by targeting chemical intermediates
