Biological Activity

[Description]:

Globosuxanthone A is a dihydroxanthenone with obvious antifungal activity towards Fusarium graminearum, Fusarium solani, and Botrytis cinerea with MIC values of 4, 8, and 16 μg/mL, respectively. Anticancer activity[1][2].

[In Vitro]

Globosuxanthone A shows cytotoxicities against NCI-H460, MCF-7, SF-268, PC-3, PC-3M, LNCaP, DU-145 cells (IC50=0.65-3.6 µM)[1]. Globosuxanthone A impairs cell cycle progression of NCI-H460 and PC-3M cells leading to accumulation in the G2/M and S phases [1].
