Biological Activity

[Description]:

Isolimonexic acid is a limonoid isolated from lemon (Citrus lemon L. Burm) seed, has anti-cancer and anti-aromatase (IC50=25.60 μM) properties[1].

[In Vitro]

Isolimonexic acid (200 μM; 72 hours) exhibits cytotoxicity on MCF-7 cells and shows no cytotoxicity against the MDA-MB-231 cell lines[1]. Isolimonexic acid (50 μg/ml; 48, 96 and 144 hours) exhibits cell growth inhibition of Panc-28 cells in a time-dependent manner. And it percent inhibition comparison to control cells are 21%, 68%, and 90.58% at 48, 72, and 144 h, respectively[2].
