Germanicol

Germanicol is a selective antineoplastic agent against human colon cancer cell lines HCT-116 and HT29 . Germanicol induces apoptosis via chromatin condensation and DNA damage[1].

Apoptosis Analysis[1] Cell Line: HCT-116 colon cancer cells Concentration: 0, 10, 40 and 100 µM Incubation Time: 48 h Result: Induced potent and dose-dependent chromatin condensation, accompanied by subsequent DNA damage. Cell Migration Assay [1] Cell Line: HCT-116 colon cancer cells Concentration: 0, 10, 40 and 100 µM Incubation Time: 0, 12, 24 and 48 h Result: Decreased cell migration tendency.
