Abstract
Ammonia and amines' in aqueous solution react with imines to give a,@-diamines and polymeric substances. The reaction between ethylenimine and various amines to give N- substituted ethylenediamines has also been carried out under anhydrous conditions in the presence of aluminum chloride2 as a catalyst.
