Abstract
Our recent work has described several approaches to the synthesis of heterocyclic systems using tandem reaction processes terminated by a nucleophilic aromatic substitution (SNAr) reaction. 1–8 With this background, we were interested in the feasibility of preparing substituted 9 (10H)-acridinones in a single laboratory operation via two sequential SNAr reactions.
