Abstract
Phosphate esters based upon N-hydroxysuccinimide and iV-mercaptosuccinimide have been prepared. It is shown that the reaction of N-hydroxysuccinirnide with dibenzyl phosphate through the agency of diisopropylcarbodiimide can give a variety of products. Low temperatures in nonpolar solvents give the desired esters exclusively. Higher temperatures and polar solvents give mainly tetrabenzyl pyrophosphate. 0, O-Dibenzyl 0-( ...
