Abstract
Phenylselenyl Compound 8 and Dienes 9 and 10. Mesylate 6 (250 mg, 0.84 mmol) was treated with sodium borohydride (45 mg, 1.16 mmol) and diphenyl diselenide (150 mg, 0.48 mmol) in 15 mL of ethanol as described for the preparation of the phenylselenyl compound 7.
