Abstract
3 amino-5-nitro-l, 2-(methylenedioxy) benzene were prepared by Lott et al. 6 Treatment of the appropriately substituted o-nitroaniline with the appropriate a, P-unsaturated aldehyde or ketone afforded the requisite 5, 6-disubstituted 8-nitroquinolines 1.
