Abstract

Abstract We report here a simple synthesis of formamidinesulfinic acids and formamidines. These compounds are useful in several fields of chemistry. Formamidinesulfinic acids are reducing agents for organic synthesis and for photography. 1 They also show marked tumor inhibition. 2 Formamidines are of interest as synthetic intermediates3 and as anthelmintic drugs. 4 Formamidines are commonly synthesized by the reaction of amines with ...
