Abstract

The other two products were obtained as a yellow crystalline mixture (0.06 g) of 36 and 37 in a ratio 1: l. The ir spectrum (CHC13) showed the presence of an ester group (1705 cm-1) and a nitro group (1580 and 1295 cm-'). The nmr spectrum (CDCl3) showed two series of signals due to 33 and except for the common signals of the ethoxyl group which appear at 7 5.74 (q, 2 H, J= 6 Hz) and 8.68 (t, 3 H, J= 6 Hz): the signals for 33, 7 1.24 (s, 0.5 H, Hc), ...
