Abstract

II it was noted that the two isomeric esters of this constitution (mp 66'and 98') suffer a transformation to the same compound (mp 278') when they are allowed to stand in the light. This new compound is extremely insoluble as well as high melting, and its analysis showed it to have the same empirical formula as the esters from which it was obtained.
