Abstract
Dipropylcyclopropenone may be synthesized by addition of “dichlorocarbene” to dipropylacetylene; under some conditions a cyclobutenone derivative is also formed, Elimination of HBr from di (bromobuty1) ketone also afords dipropylcyclopropenone, along with a cqdopentenone derivative.
