Abstract
The discovery that a compound containing the 3, 4-methylenedioxyphenoxy group produces a greater degree of synergism with pyrethrins than the corresponding compound containing a 3, 4-methylenedioxyphenyl group, as in sesamolin and sesamin, led the author to synthesize new compounds containing the methylenedioxyphenoxy group as candidate synergists.
