Abstract
The behavior of a,@-unsaturated sulfones is variable according to the degree of substitution at the &carbon, being similar to the behavior of comparable unsaturated ketones in yielding products of conjugate addition or of alternative reactions, but different in that the reaction with phenyllithium i.; influenced the same as is the reaction with phenylrnagnesium bromide
