Abstract
Metallic indium and its salts are acquiring considerable importance in organic synthesis. [1] Relevant In-promoted reactions include the coupling of carbonyl compounds with allyl halides and α-halo esters to afford the corresponding homoallylic alcohols and β-hydroxy esters.
