Figure 1. The 100-MHz spectra of (a)[4.2. 2] propeIlane and (b)[3.2. 2] propellane in CDCI, solution. The scale is hertz downfield from tetramethylsilane. The high-field absorption in spectrum a arises from all eight nrotons of the six-membered ring of [4.2. 2]-propellane.
