Abstract
3846 MABEL M. KLENK, C. M. SUTER AND S. ARCHER ... 2-Isopropyl-l,3-butadiene.-Pyrolysis of 87 g. of 2-iso- propyl-3-acetoxy-1-butene as previously described2 gave 29 g. (54%) of 2-isopropyl-l,3-butadiene, bp 85-87', TPD 1.4337. This material polymerized readily and gave an infrared spectrum related to that of isoprene.
