Abstract

The reaction of Ag2O with β-diketones in the presence of vinyltriethylsilane (VTES) produced new organosilver compounds of empirical formula (β-diketonato) Ag (VTES), and single-crystal structural determination of (fod) Ag (VTES) showed that it is a dimeric species and each silver atom is 4-coordinate.
