Abstract

Abstract Polyurethane attached hemicyanine dye with tetraphenylborate anion was synthesized. This polymer was soluble in dimethylformamide and could be processed into thin film by spin coating. The poled polymer film showed a large second-order nonlinear optical coefficient (X (2)= 4.0× 10− 7 esu) and good temporal stability.
