Abstract

Here we report enantioselective syntheses of 2-, 5-, 6-, 7- and 8-substituted 3-quinolyl alkanols and their asymmetric autocatalytic reactions in the enantioselective addition of diisopropylzinc to the corresponding substituted quinoline-3-carbaldehydes (Scheme [1] ). Highly enantiomerically enriched 3-quinolyl alkanols with up to 97% ee were obtained by asymmetric autocatalysis. ...
