Abstract

Imidazole derivatives substituted by a normal alkyl group are shown to be efficient as a ligand for the copper (Ι)-catalyzed azide− alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) reaction. An alkyl chain on the imidazole ligands shows an efficient steric effect and benefits the reaction.
