Abstract

Eighty-four analogues and derivatives of the acetylcholine-storage-blocking drug trans-2-(4- phenylpiperidino)-cyclohexanol (vesamicol) were synthesized, and their potencies were evaluated with the acetylcholine active-transport assay utilizing purified synaptic vesicles from Torpedo electric organ.
